Practitioner Code of Use

Last Updated: May 18, 2026

This Code of Use is a plain-English summary of how you must use Bio-Logic for Practitioners. It is part of your agreement with Resonant Consulting, LLC. Violating it can result in your account being terminated without notice.

If you've read nothing else, read this.

The One Rule That Matters Most

Never input information that could identify a specific client.

The Service is built for de-identified reflection only. The moment you type a name, an exact date, an employer, or any combination of details specific enough to point to a real person, you've broken your agreement with us and possibly your obligations to your client.

What That Looks Like in Practice

✅ OK to input:

  • "A client in her late 40s, perimenopausal, dealing with chronic right-shoulder tension that started around the time her mother became ill."
  • "A new client, male, mid-30s, describing recurrent pelvic floor tightness with no medical explanation, history of childhood relocation."
  • "I'm noticing a pattern across several clients of mine who present with X following Y. What might be worth exploring?"

❌ NOT OK to input:

  • "My client Sarah Johnson, born 3/14/1981, who works at Honda in Marysville…"
  • "Jane, the one I told you about last session, age 52…"
  • "My client whose husband died on April 3rd of last year…"
  • Photos, audio, video, or screenshots of any client material.
  • Any combination of details narrow enough that someone reading it could identify the specific person.

What This Tool Is For

The Service is a thinking aid for you. Use it to:

  • Reflect on patterns you're noticing
  • Explore framings or interpretations before a session
  • Process your own reactions to client work
  • Generate questions you might bring into a session
  • Test the shape of an idea before you commit to it

What This Tool Is NOT For

The Service is not:

  • A clinical decision tool
  • A diagnostic instrument
  • Something to read to your client
  • A substitute for supervision, consultation, or your own professional judgment
  • A place to store client records
  • HIPAA-compliant (if you handle PHI, this is not the tool for you)
  • An emergency resource

You will never present an output from this tool to a client as if it were professional advice, a diagnosis, or a finding. Outputs are raw material for your reflection — nothing more.

Your Obligations to Your Clients

You are responsible for telling your clients, in whatever form your informed consent process takes, that you may use AI tools as part of your preparation and reflection. We can't tell you exactly what to say — that depends on your modality and your professional norms — but as a baseline, your clients should not be surprised to learn you do this.

You are also responsible for honoring any request a client makes to you about your use of these tools, including a request that you not use them at all in connection with their work with you.

Who This Tool Is NOT For

You may not use this tool if:

  • You are a licensed clinical professional (therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, MD, NP, PA, etc.) acting in your licensed capacity.
  • You are a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate handling PHI.
  • You intend to discuss minors as individuals (general patterns in family work are different — see the Privacy Policy).
  • You are in a mental health crisis yourself, or supporting someone in one in real-time.

What Happens If You Violate This

If we have a reasonable basis to believe you've put identifiable client information into the Service, we may terminate your account immediately and without notice. We may also be required to take other action depending on the circumstances. You also agree that you'll indemnify us against any claim a client brings against us arising from your input — meaning the legal exposure rolls to you.

Questions, Concerns, or Edge Cases

If you're unsure whether something is OK to input, the answer is: leave it out, or contact us first. Better to ask than to find out.
